Prof. Banerjee’s area of specialization is numerical analysis.
His research interests include the analysis of numerical methods to approximate solutions, eigenvalues, and eigenvectors of elliptic PDEs.
He currently is studying the effects of numerical integration on approximate eigenvalues obtained from various versions of the finite element method.
